Keep your butter fresh the traditional way with this handmade stoneware French butter dish, inspired by the earth and ocean. Each piece is wheel-thrown in my Devon studio, featuring natural, flowing glazes that make every butter keeper beautifully unique.
This butter dish measures approximately 10.5 cm in diameter and 8.5 cm in height. Simply place about 1 cm of cold water in the base, fill the top with butter, and invert to seal. The water creates an airtight barrier, keeping your butter soft, spreadable, and fresh for up to a month – without refrigeration.

Each butter crock is one of a kind, with natural variations in glaze and form that reflect the handmade process. I use a Rohde Ecotop kiln powered by solar energy, and I package your order using recycled and paper-based materials whenever possible.
